How Do I Become A Member?

 The Order of Confederate Rose is open to all ladies, twelve years of age or older, regardless of ancestry. It is non-racial, non-political, and non-sectarian. The Order of Confederate Rose will not compete with the United Daughters of the Confederacy, or with any other genealogical organization. We invite members from other genealogical organizations to join us.

Membership into a Chapter is not required if there is not one near you, there is the option to be a “Rambling Rose. Membership to be a Rose is $20 for the year or $150 for a life membership. Golden Rose Information

A Golden Rose is a lady who has reached the age of 75. She is then eligible to be a Golden member of the Order of Confederate Rose. She will no longer pay dues and be issued a special membership certificate. She will retain full voting and office holding privileges.

Thorn Information

The Order of Confederate Rose is also open to all gentlemen. They are referred to has a "Thorn" of the Order of Confederate Rose. Usually, the spouse of a Rose but may also be any male who is interested in supporting the Order of Confederate Rose. SCV members in good standing pay no additional dues. The term "Thorn" is in no way meant to be derogatory. It comes from the thorns of the rosebush, protecting the roses as we trust our Thorns will protect us.

Renewals

To All Chapter Presidents, Membership renewals are due by January 1st with a grace period to February 1st. Please make every effort to send in your Chapter's renewals in a timely fashion. Send renewals to your Chapter President or Contact:
